Who are our members?

Our members comprise citizens, farmers, rural women, and rural youth residing in communities, associations, and mass citizen associations across Cambodia. They share a deep commitment to engaging, participating, and advancing CCFC's mission. Prospective members, including rural women and rural youth, are encouraged to submit their applications for membership to CCFC. These applications undergo thorough review by the Executive Committees and General Councils in accordance with the organization's Statute.

CCFC has welcomed membership applications from 32,131 families, of which 14,404 were females residing in 152 target communities. These groups include various entities, such as 22 saving groups, 21 rural women groups, 91 agri-food system and land-affected communities, 8 provincial networks of peasants, 6 rural youth groups, and 4 social enterprises. Mainly comprising small-scale peasants from agri-food systems and land-affected communities, these groups signify a diverse array of stakeholders actively involved in community development endeavors across 14 provinces, including Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kandal, Kampot, Preah Vihear, Kampong Speu, Traung Khmum, Sihanouk, Takeo Kratic, and Kohkong. These applications are evaluated based on the applicants' qualifications, ensuring alignment with CCFC's mission and values, with a specific emphasis on inclusion of rural women and rural youth.

Moreover, CCFC is dedicated to empowering rural women and rural youth by providing them with opportunities to actively participate in and contribute to the organization's initiatives. By fostering an inclusive membership base that reflects the diversity of our communities, CCFC aims to create a more equitable and impactful platform for collective action and community development. Through collaboration and partnership, we strive to address the unique needs and challenges faced by rural women and rural youth, promoting their empowerment and enhancing their role in shaping the future of Cambodia's rural communities.
